Our Commitment
RAC is committed to providing access to all individuals, regardless of ability. We work toward the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. § 794d), and the Revised Section 508 Standards (36 C.F.R. § 1194.1), which incorporate the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A and AA success criteria for web content.
Ongoing Efforts
We continuously strive to make our digital content, services, and platforms accessible and usable for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We design with these practices in mind:
- navigation and controls that can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- text alternatives or labels for key images and graphics;
- a layout that adapts to different screen sizes and devices; and
- respect for the reduced-motion setting on your device, which turns off animated effects.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We keep testing and improving the Site, and we welcome your help in finding what we have missed.
